Sensor Line
Tent-X supports a range of RJ12 daisy-chainable sensors for complete environmental monitoring. The included MBS-TH measures temperature, humidity, and light, while the MBS-S8 monitors CO2 for automated supplementation. The MBS-SD detects smoke and sends instant alerts, and the MBS-PAR measures PAR/PPFD for precise lighting management with compatible controllers. All sensors connect directly to the Tent-X controller and can be expanded using the SPH-1 splitter.

The AMP-3 Sensor Board is a digital bridge connecting pH, EC, and temperature probes to the Tent-X Grow Tent Controller. It provides real-time pH, EC, and water temperature data on its LCD screen and the main controller, enabling comprehensive water parameter monitoring for various tanks or dosing systems through flexible RJ12 connections.
Water & Nutrient Sensors
Sensor Line
WCS-2 and WCS-3 monitor substrate moisture, temperature, and nutrient conditions for the Tent-X system. The WCS-2 measures water content, temperature, and EC, while the WCS-3 monitors Volumetric Water Content (VWC). Both connect via RJ12 or an AMP-3 Sensor Board, with real-time data displayed on the controller and in the TM+ Pro App, including historical logs and alarm notifications.

Sensor Line
The WD-1 water detector integrates with the Tent-X (TCS-1) Grow Tent System to monitor water. Up to two WD-1s can daisy-chain with other sensors via the SENSOR port. It acts as a leak detector for floors or spaces, and a water-verification monitor for irrigation systems. When irrigation is active, the WD-1 detects water within a delay time. If no water is detected, the Tent-X sends an “irrigation failure” alert, indicating pump or solenoid issues.

DST-1, DSH-1, and DSP-1 automate temperature, humidity, and timed devices for the Tent-X system. Connected via RJ12, they control heating, cooling, humidification, dehumidification, irrigation, and more. Each module supports devices up to 10A at 120V for flexible environmental automation.

The 4RS-2 is a 4-outlet device module kit for the Tent-X system, providing dedicated outputs for temperature, humidity, and two timed devices. Connected via RJ12, it expands control of equipment such as fans, pumps, and irrigation devices. With 15A total output capacity, the 4RS-2 offers a simple way to power and automate multiple devices.

The DSC-1 is a CO2 Device Station module that connects to and controls supplemental CO2 devices or exhaust. It integrates with the Tent-X (TCS-1) controller, the central “brain” of the Tent-X Grow Tent System, to regulate CO2 levels by activating or deactivating connected CO2 equipment. The Tent-X system supports up to two DSC-1 modules for comprehensive CO2 control.

The EFC-1 EC Fan Control Adapter enables Tent-X to control most 0–10V and PWM EC fans. Connected via RJ12, it provides automated exhaust and intake fan control for precise airflow management. Simply select the fan type on the adapter for seamless integration with the Tent-X system.

The DSD-1 Dry-Contact Station and DSV-1 Low-Volt Station expand Tent-X with control for lights, pumps, solenoids, alarms, and other external devices. The DCC-1 Dual Condition Adapter allows a single device to respond to two environmental conditions, providing flexible automation for advanced grow strategies.

What is the Tent-X (TCS-1) controller?
The Tent-X is a state-of-the-art, professional-grade control system specifically designed for single-zone grow tents. It acts as a central brain that unites both climate control and irrigation devices into a single, simple-to-use controller to create the optimal environment for your plants.
Does the Tent-X have built-in Wi-Fi?
No, there is no built-in Wi-Fi on the TCS-1. To access internet features like remote monitoring and notifications via the TM+ Pro app, you need to plug a hard-wired Cat 5/6 cable into the Ethernet port on the bottom of the unit. If a hard-wired connection isn't possible, you can use a commercially available Wi-Fi range extender equipped with an Ethernet port.
How many lights can the Tent-X control?
The Tent-X features two built-in, independently operated lighting control channels (Line 1 and Line 2). By using TrolMaster's LMA lighting adapters, this allows you to connect and separately control two different types or brands of lights, giving each their own unique timer, dimming, and temperature setpoints.
Can the Tent-X control my exhaust and intake fans?
Yes. The Tent-X can control up to two standard EC fans (F1 for exhaust, F2 for intake) using the optional EFC-1 interface module. If you are using TrolMaster's Aero-Fan branded EC fans, you do not need the EFC-1 adapter; they can be connected and daisy-chained directly to the device port.
What is the maximum number of devices I can connect?
The Tent-X supports multiple plug-in device modules, allowing you to connect up to:
- 2 Temperature devices (Heating or Cooling)
- 2 Humidity devices (Humidify or Dehumidify)
- 2 CO2 devices (Increase or Decrease)
- 4 Timer devices (Recycling or schedule timers)
Note: The 4RS-2 device station is a great option designed specifically for the Tent-X, providing four separate controlled outlets in one module (using 1 temp, 1 humidity, and 2 timer slots).
Can I automate and monitor my irrigation system with Tent-X?
Yes. You can use program device modules (like the DSP-1 or DSV-1) to control irrigation pumps or solenoids using single, multi-schedule, or recycling timers. The Tent-X also allows you to monitor your nutrient water and grow medium by connecting a single sensor of each type, such as pH, EC, water temperature, and Volumetric Water Content (VWC).
Is the Tent-X controller waterproof?
No, the Tent-X has an Ingress Protection rating of IP20. It must not be exposed to water or excessive heat.
