Photosynthesis is the most fundamental and important reaction in plant growth, with light playing an essential role. The intensity of light (quantity) is often mistaken as the only factor in relation to maximising yields. But a more important factor is how well the light can be taken up by the plants and the spectral composition of the light (quality).

Light is a key parameter, and a well tuned LED light system can provide plants just what they need and result in optimal growth and production. Light quality and Controllability is a prerequisite for the maximised use of light energy, to save energy, reduce growing cycles, enhance production and improve product quality.
Research has shown that plant growth can be impacted by changing the light spectrum. It can determine plant features like flavor, taste, color (depending on the anthocyanin and chlorophyll concentration),size and flowering time.
Energy Efficient
Traditional HID lights cannot adjust the spectrum and intensity specifically. Generally a mass of wavelengths is emitted, but only a few of those can actually benefit the plant’s photosynthetic rate and a big chunk of energy will go to waste as heat.
On the other hand, LEDs with great controllability is an ideal option with the potential to produce the most photosynthetically efficient light. You can adjust the light spectrum and intensity along with some other special features to create a natural environment but in a static form and give just what your plants truly need, ensuring maximized utilization of the light energy and no energy goes to waste.
Good Quality & High Yield
Different species in each stage of growth will require different ideal light spectrum and intensity for optimal yield and product quality.
For example, far red light can stimulate flowering, while red / far red ratio regulates stem elongation and branching, leaf expansion, and reproduction. It is also found that adding far-red light would increase the quantum yield of photosystem II by an average of 6.5% and 3.5% respectively, meaning a potential better yield.

Hydro-X system is a professional-grade single zone all-in-one environmental system.
It is fully customizable and modularly designed. Installation is simple and the system is easy to expand upon. It can control all ThinkGrow LEDs.
With the free TrolMaster App, users can easily monitor and control their ThinkGrow LEDs and other environmental parameters anytime and anywhere.
THE LMA-T IS DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR
ALL THINKGROW LED SYSTEMS
To connect ThinkGrow LEDs to the Hydro-X systems, a LMA-T lighting adaptor is required to utilize the two channel control, which allows separate control for full spectrum and second red output levels on ThinkGrow LEDs.
LIGHTING CONTROL ADAPTOR T(LMA-T)
The LMA-T should be connected to the lighting control ports Line 1 & 2 on HCS-1 and HCS-2. Once connected, users can then set the ON/OFF times and dimming settings for the full spectrum and Second red LEDs individually.
The LMA-T is then connected to an RJ type lighting control cable where each of the LEDs are connected back to the controller in a daisy-chain configuration using plug-and-play connections
One adaptor can run up to 256 ThinkGrow LEDs.

THE MBS-PAR IS A FULL SPECTRUM QUANTUM SENSOR TO
CONTROL THINKGROW LED WITH PPFD
The MBS-PAR Sensor can be used with all Hydro-X Systems (HCS-1 / HCS-2) and LMA-T to perfectly control ThinkGrow LEDs by PPFD level.
FULL SPECTRUM QUANTUM SENSOR (MBS-PAR)
The TrolMaster Full Spectrum Quantum Sensor (MBS-PAR) provides an accurate and cost-effective measurement of photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) from all light sources used to grow plants. The full-spectrum quantum sensor has a spectral range of 389 to 692 nm ± 5 nm. The improved spectral response increases the accuracy of LED measurements.
Used in conjunction with the Hydro-X controller, the PPFD sensor will AUTOMATICALLY increase or decrease the output level of your supplemental lighting systems to continuously maintain the exact lighting level (in PPFD) that the user selects.
